Jealous you saw Sam and Shahzad together! I'm a big Amidon fan, and seeing them as a duo is how I discovered Shahzad, but the last few times Sam's played up here (he's from VT so he plays here often) have been solo.
This was the first I'd heard of Sam, but he's really great! Definitely hoping he comes back to these parts. Any albums of his you'd especially recommend?
Bright Sunny South is my favorite. Amazing covers of Tim McGraw and Mariah Carey alongside the usual obscure traditional fare (and the way he does em you wouldn't guess which is which).
